The flyte blog drives home an important point that, to this day, I still see business owners overlooking: the use of generic email addresses (@aol.com, @hotmail.com, @gmail.com, etc.) for their business email communications. Just last weekend I spotted a quarter-page ad in the newspaper for a local real estate agent who listed her AOL email address in the ad. Oy vey.
I've also recently seen a different business advertisement featuring the company's custom Web address and their Earthlink email address. Yikes.
If you run a business, you should be using - at least in your advertising - your business's custom domain name. If you don't have a custom domain name for your business get one now.
