I tried a new dry cleaner this week and thought of some great small business blog posts while waiting for my clothes. If I owned a dry cleaning business then I may blog about:
1. Darn cheap dry cleaning - The sole reason I tried this new dry cleaner was due to a coupon I received from them. Offer blog visitors (aka people looking for your business) incentives to drop off their dry cleaning. First-time visitor or long-time customer; it doesn't matter. The point is to get people in the door. Lure them in with your business's blog.
2. The view from inside - This dry cleaner has a drive-through for their customers. I'm sure they've been witness to some interesting things. How about a weekly post about the funniest thing they've seen over the past 7 days? Or, hold a contest for folks using the drive-through, and take pictures of the winners for posting on the blog.
3. Holidays and yearly events - While I was there a young lady was picking up some formal wear. Holiday and seasonal blogging could be valuable for a local dry cleaner. Proms, New Year's Eve, Easter are just of few of the occasions when people get dressed up and need dry cleaning services. Great promotional opportunities and great photo potential too.
4. The people - This particular dry cleaner does all of their work on-site. Clothes stay on the property with all dry cleaning done in-house. Tell that story. Let customers get to know the people behind-the-scenes so important to making them look good everyday.
As you can see, blogging can apply to almost any small business. Small business owners can can demonstrate their expertise, attract prospects and increase their visibility with a small business blog. Call me at (480)430-0301 and lets discuss the possibility of a blog in your future.
